Visiting with my wife's grandmother went well....actually my wife's Aunt had some errands to do so she was not there..so my wife's uncle was in the house while we visited and pretty much left us to our visit.
HOW GRANDMA IS
Grandma is pretty good. She talked with us well and seemed like her normal self. Grandma says she is still weak so she wont be attending church until she feels up to it. According to her she will be coming back to the house soon but we will see what becomes of that.
REMINDER OF THE WAY THINGS ARE
After we left we were in good spirits on how the visit was and on the way to our next destination my wife's cell phone rang and it was my wife's aunt. She wanted my wife to watch Grandma on Wednesday because she wanted to go Christmas shopping. My wife said that she would have to check her schedule when she go home but as far as she knew she could do it but would call if it did not suit.
I just happens that when we got home that my saw that Wednesday is the day that she was to help out with my youngest son's classroom. Being a stay at home mom, it is one of the joys of parenting that my wife really enjoys doing. So my wife decided to call her aunt back and let her know about the conflict in schedule. The Aunt proceeded to remind us why I have the feelings about her that I do. (See Post Before this one)
The Aunt acted like my wife made the conflict in the Schedule just to irritate her. So my wife tried to smooth the conflict over by offering to do it on Tuesday instead but her Aunt replied " I Knew It Wouldn't Work , Ill get someone else" with a snarky (
click here for the definition of snarky) tone in her voice. I guess you cant please everyone.
My wife has never had a problem in the past watch her grandmother nor would she ever in the future...but there was a schedule conflict and it just really irritates me when people assume that you just would go out of you way to make someones life complicated when you have never actually done anything to cause such feelings.
I hope there is a day when my wife's aunt and us will be able to just have a calm relationship between us but until
then ...
the Lord Comforts all and can Accomplish anything through us....so there is HOPE
